Israel Travel Guide

Israel is one of the countries I expected the most from - and it did not disappoint. It is one of the most culturally, architecturally, and gastronomically rich destinations, offering everything from ancient cities to some of the world's most important religious sites. This Israel travel blog brings together practical guides, itineraries, and tips to help you explore it all.

Here you’ll find articles on a Jerusalem itinerary, hiking Masada, and discovering both the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee. I’ve traveled from the southern deserts to the lush northern hills near the Sea of Galilee, walking the historic streets of Jerusalem, Akko, and Tel Aviv along the way.

This Israel travel blog is based on real experiences - honest advice, tested itineraries, and practical travel tips to help you plan your own unforgettable trip to Israel.

Travel tips for Israel

Arrival and tourist infrastructure in Israel:

You can fly into Jerusalem or Tel Aviv, both well-connected gateways to the country. Israel has one of the best infrastructures in the world. Due to Israel's rich history, it is among the safest countries in the world. English is widely spoken, and paying by card is accepted almost everywhere.

Driving and car rental in Israel:

Israel is really small country, and the entire country is easily reachable through its compact infrastructure of highways. From my personal experience, I don't recommend using public transportation even for longer trips, as car rental is cheap and easy.

Best time to visit Israel:

Israel is a year-round travel destination, but timing matters. It’s best to avoid the summer months, the weather is unbearable when it reaches 40 degrees +. The weather is generally better on the Mediterranean Sea.

What surprised me in Israel:

A lot of people in Israel carry assault rifles, especially in Jerusalem. It didn't make me feel safer, but I might have been, who knows.

Top things to do in Israel:

Visit Jerusalem and the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Judean Desert, the Sea of Galilee, Masada, and the Dead Sea.

"It's like 20 cm deep. I could walk on the water surface too and not make a big deal about it."
Hi, I'm Jan. When I travel, I look for adventures during the day but always unwind in a comfortable hotel at night. I started this travel blog after realizing how tough it can be to find reliable, authentic travel info.
